First Look at Cine Gear 2026
At Cine Gear 2026, the VEGA H2 was introduced with its core innovations: a 6K full-frame sensor, patented HVS system, ToF autofocus, and integrated optical variable ND.
Since Cine Gear 2026, BOSMA has made several updates based on feedback from NAB, Cine Gear, and other industry shows.

LIGHTER BODY
Why switch to magnesium alloy?
The new magnesium-alloy housing is designed to be lighter and stronger.
The current weight is approximately 2.2kg / 4.9 lb, making it easier handling for handheld, shoulder-mounted, and gimbal shooting.
SECURE MOUNT
What changed on the PL mount?
We added a locking mechanism to make the lens mount more secure.
It helps prevent the lens from coming loose, and provides added security while the HVS imaging system rotates.
SMARTER AF
How has the autofocus improved?
The ToF-based autofocus system now goes beyond a single focus point.
• New area-based autofocus.
• Focuses across a wider area of the frame
• Works with manual cinema lenses through the focus motor
• Designed to give solo operators more flexibility
BRIGHTER MONITOR
What’s new about the monitor?
The new monitor is 4.5 inches and reaches 1,000 nits, with improved brightness and color compared with the previous version.
The goal is straightforward: better visibility when shooting outdoors in bright daylight, without depending on an external monitor.
FLEXIBLE MEDIA
What recording options will be available?
The VEGA H2 will come in two recording-media versions. Buyers choose the media type when they order rather than switching between the two on the same body.
• Dual SD version • CFexpress Type B version (supports higher-bitrate recording workflows)
• Internal recording: H.264, H.265, and ProRes 422
B4 READY
What is the B4 mount for?
BOSMA is developing an optical B4 mount for broadcast applications.
• Designed for existing B4 broadcast lenses • Replaces the PL mount
• Uses a Super 35 image area on the full-frame sensor
• Can be purchased separately and changed by the user
• Estimated price: $3,000~$4,000
This gives broadcast users a potential way to bring existing B4 lenses into the VEGA H2 system.

When will VEGA H2 be available?
The VEGA H2 is currently in mass production.

A reinforced PL-mount locking system keeps the lens securely in place while the HVS imaging system rotates, adding confidence to every horizontal-to-vertical transition.
Focus Beyond the Single Point
The updated ToF autofocus now supports area-based focusing, allowing the system to track subjects across a wider part of the frame for a more flexible shooting experience.
